Information

This session examines the application of Agentic AI within the Ministry of Justice, exploring how one of the government's most complex and sensitive organisations is navigating the shift from generative to action-oriented AI. Drawing on live deployments such as Justice Transcribe and enterprise-wide productivity tools, the discussion addresses the practical, ethical and architectural challenges of AI adoption at scale. Key topics include institutional accountability for AI-assisted decisions, the governance of autonomous agents, data quality as a prerequisite for trustworthy AI, and the strategic importance of digital sovereignty in public sector contexts. The conversation also considers how operating models and workforce structures must evolve to accommodate human-agent collaboration and reflects on the longer-term trajectory of agentic AI in domains where fairness, public trust and human oversight are non-negotiable.
