Information

Youth justice is a complex landscape where several agencies work with children, each using different IT platforms and different assessment tools, all making for a challenging operating context for information exchange. How do we better combine critical information and join the dots?

It’s a human problem in a human world; however, AI has the potential to provide a holistic view of young people and their vulnerabilities to maximise the impact we can have in youth justice services.

This session explores how emerging technology could lead to better outcomes for:

  • Young people – using AI and automation to flag patterns with vulnerable children and prevent offending as early as possible
    • Justice teams - how AI could present information to support making decisions, and free practitioners up to spend more time supporting children, adults and those affected by crime
    • Public services – ways to leverage AI to meet unmet need, helping frontline services in justice, policing, education and health going forward
    Seating
