Information

The national debate around young people not in education, employment or training (NEET) highlights a wider challenge for public services: how to identify complex needs earlier, join up support around the citizen, and design services that are easier to access, more personalised and more effective.

Using insights from the forthcoming concluding part of Alan Milburn’s NEET review as a springboard, this roundtable will explore how digital, data and AI-enabled transformation can support more proactive, connected and citizen-centred services. The NEET challenge will provide a practical example, but the discussion will look more broadly at how government, employers and the third sector can work together to improve engagement, inclusion and outcomes for people with complex needs.

Key discussion points:

  • Designing around citizens, not institutions
  • Using data to identify need earlier and intervene sooner
  • Personalising support at scale while retaining human accountability
  • Building trust, inclusion and accessibility into digital services
  • Joining up government, employers and the third sector around shared outcomes
  • Scaling what works beyond pilots and single policy agenda

This session is by invitation only and places are limited. If you'd like to express your interest in attending, please get in touch info@digital-government.co.uk.
