AI for Social Good: Transforming Rehabilitation in Justice
Information
Steve Grix will present how the GENAIE artificial intelligence platform has created unique courses and resource materials to build sustainable opportunities and support recent justice sector innovations. Steve is a digital learning specialist who has led innovation projects within the Prison Education Framework for almost 10 years. As a prison teacher, he developed a highly successful blended delivery model in the custodial environment by thinking outside the box and using available resources in new ways.
The talk will review how GENAIE has created personalised education and training for socially excluded individuals, including people in custody and on probation, refugees, the long-term unemployed, vulnerable adults, and young people with limited opportunities. In this way, AI is helping the most disadvantaged members of society to thrive.
Steve will share his specific experiences on how the Meganexus GENAIE solution is supporting the development of digital content in the Justice sector and lowering the barriers to prison education for non-English speakers to access vocational training. A further vision of the next 5 years of potential AI-augmented innovation will be set out.
