Imagine a Way Forward: Blending Treatment and Operations Through Thoughtful Design
Information
Approaching justice design with the knowledge and understanding of the unique populations that will be housed in these facilities is a crucial component when it comes to programming, planning, and designing facilities.
Especially for specialised populations including juveniles, those classified with mental health, behavioural health and medical healthcare needs. Women’s facilities that require additional services to properly care and rehabilitate residents.
During this presentation we will share the approach we take at HDR Architecture to enhance the lives of our incarcerated specialised populations across the globe.
We will share project examples, core philosophies and best practices, design and research methodologies that support therapeutic and normative design solutions, and open the floor to your questions and dialogue, as we hope to inspire meaningful conversations about transforming the standards of correctional design and care worldwide.
Attention: Please note that due to the interest expressed in this session, places will be allocated on a first come, first serve basis.
